Miniature Treasures
A few days ago I stumbled upon www.catbirdnyc.com and oh boy did I fall in love! Out of Brooklyn, New York this store carries some of the most charming treasures I've ever seen. They curate anything from knuckle rings i.e. memory rings to enameled keepsake boxes for your wee one's first tooth. Genius!

A New Endeavor
Since I was a young girl I have always loved arts and crafts. I studied Art and Graphic Design in College and although my time is limited these days I still very much have a passion for crafts. A dear friend of mine brought it to my attention the other day that I should open up an Etsy shop. Let me just give a quick shot out to that 'dear friend' because she really opened up my eye's the other day. I am in the process of creating a portfolio and then the next step would be to post my work online. I have a couple pictures below of a pop-up card I made that was super easy and fun even my 3 year old helped me make and also pictured is a birthday invitation I made for the boys party.
I've been collecting little treasures and supplies here and there and my collection is adding up quick. I would love to create a card for someone or make the invitations for a party. Of course making a little extra money always helps but I would enjoy nothing more than putting a smile on someone's face.
Wish me luck!

Little Pitter Patter
So it's official. My youngest baby is walking. He is no longer a little creature. He is walking and trying to run already! Yesterday we went to buy his first pair of kicks and they are so adorable. They are actually the same pair we bought his older brother when he started walking but just a different color. We went to visit our family and had a bbq and swam in the pool and watched the Heat game. It was much fun as always and it's such a joy to watch the boys play with their cousin. Children are so innocent and fun spirited. They are pure and so easy to please. They just want to be loved. We can't wait to have more. The boys have brought so much more love and joy into our lives. Stay tuned...

Five Unforgettable Moments
We have two boys, a thousand plus pictures and videos and so far I have five significant moments that will forever stain my memory.
1) The first memory of course being the birth of my two boys. I remember their angelic faces and miniature features. I remember their swollen eyes and how different their features were from each other. We are so lucky to have experienced the miracle of childbirth twice.
2) I will never forget and never stop laughing when I recall this memory-the first time my oldest son pooped on me. It was explosive and needless to say it ended up on 3 of the 4 walls in our bedroom. He was only a week old and I was nursing so whenever he moved his bowels the sound replicated a machine gun. We had a hard time comprehending how this little person could make such violent sounds. To top it off, the 'crime scene' somehow ended up on my husband who (God Bless him lol) was sleeping sound in the bed. I had a well deserved belly laugh that night.
3) Kyser's first steps definitely go down in history. He took his first couple steps at exactly 13 months old and we just so happened to be at a birthday party that day. A close friend of our family invited us to his niece's birthday party and the parents are deaf so there were also a lot of friends there who could not hear as well. The humorous part is when Kyser first took his step I started freaking out. I jumped up from my chair and was ecstatic with smiles and hoorays. I wanted to celebrate with everyone around me that my first little baby achieved such a great milestone. Well, after I made this huge scene I realized that nobody (except my husband and a few friends near by) knew what the hell was going on. I was smiling and talking to people who could not hear me. I got so many stares and weird looks then. They must of thought I was nuts.
4) I am nursing my second son and my first born is quite the chatter box these days. He asks tons of questions, copies everything he hears and is just so eager to learn. So, of course we teach him. We teach him about cars and trucks and dinosaurs and babies and body parts. He is curious now what hangs between his legs and daddy's legs so we teach him. We taught him that is his penis and daddy has one and so does little brother. So naturally when he saw me nursing Zavier for the first time he asked Mom Mom what "thooooose" were. I told him they are boobies. "Boobies mommy"? "Yes Kyser, they are boobies. Mommy's have boobies and some Mommy's have milk in their boobies that babies can drink. It helps them grow and become strong boys." So, my fourth unforgettable moment is when Kyser told my family for the first time (when they were inquiring my presence) that "Mommy is feeding Zavier boobies." Done and done. I was hysterical and so was my family.
5) First words. From what we've heard and read, usually a baby's first word is dada or baba since they are easier to say. I refused to accept that with my first born. So, I made sure every single day since his day of birth that I would practice 'mama' with him. I wasn't crazy about it, I would just say it a few times every day to him and let him feel my lips humming the word. Voila! Kyser's first word was MAMA! Zavier's first word was dada but the next day he said mama! teeheehee. They are such mama's boys. I think my husband felt special when Zavier said dada first so I let him have his moment. But our first son, and his first word, will always be mama. : )
They are growing up so fast. You try to capture every moment on camera or video but sometimes you get their too late. I hope these memories and many more will always stain my heart. A heart that is so swollen with love.

A Cinderella Story Playdate
Wow! It's been two weeks since I've jumped on here. It's definitely been a busy past two weeks. The boys and I had our own car for a whole week so we were non stop between the park and lunch dates and a play date with our favorite family of 4. I came to the conclusion that this family definitely needs an SUV!! With two boys and two huge car seats and toys and snacks and drinks and more toys and strollers-whew! It really gets crowded!
The boys and I had a play date with my best friend who has two kids who are the same age as Kyser and Zavier except her newest edition is a girl. (We will call her G for privacy purposes). Anyway, Zavier is in love with baby G!! Every time they are together he cannot keep his eyes off of her! Here are some candid photos I caught of the Love Birds : )

Zavier is feeling her heart 'pitter patter' for him! lol
We joke-either my son has a foot fetish or it's a scene from Cinderella. Except where are G's glass slippers??
Reaching for each other!!! How cute! And how cool are these jumpers? They look like little puppets!

Tricks of the Trade
Peek-a-boo!! I love this tushy! HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!
The past few months I have been tapping into my artistic, crafty side. Since I can remember I've always been infatuated with art, painting, sketching, sewing-any craft really. I love doing hands on projects and I love creating something of my own. Currently there is no room here for my easel so I've been sewing and embroidering. I have made 2 blankets for Kyser and one for Zavier. Also a blanket for my best friends first daughter and our cousins first baby girl. I wanted to share some pics because frankly- I am pretty darn proud of myself.
Hello Kitty fabric I used for our cousins baby and our best friends first daughter
I embroidered the R for baby Rosella
this is the matching pillow for Rosella with her initials monogrammed on it
This is the second blanket I made for Kyser. He loves dinosaurs and Mom Mom loooves this fabric!
..and this is baby Zavier's first blanket I made for him. p.s. Thank you mom for showing me the 'tricks of the trade' when I was a little girl. It really made my imagination blossom.
A post for mommy and daddy's
One of our cousins in California sent me this post and I have to share it with you all. Is there anyone out there??

Mommy and Daddy's can surely appreciate this witty and truthful post. I am patiently, patiently waiting for the opportunity for the hubby and I to get away. There will most definitely be lots of condoms as well.
Only one poopie diaper change thus far today. Yesterday was a record breaking 7 total poopie diaper changes and one that got on the bathroom carpet!! I love my life.
It's a beautiful day in South Florida. A 2 1/2 year old, an 8 month old, a 12 year old and I are taking a bus to a local mall which by the way is the largest outlet mall in Florida. Wish me luck !

Maniac Monday
Goodmorning! Goodmorning! Goodmorning! I've actually been up since 7:15 but this is the first chance I'm getting on the lap top. Baby Z is counting sheep and Kyser is watching a little cartoons.
So, I mentioned before that I've wanted to start a blog for a while and now that I finally have I am realizing it's kind of tough for me to write a post on a whim. Before I actually designed the blog I had a million plus some ideas and thoughts I wanted to express and now it's like I have stage fright. You know, I always wished I had the guts to be in Drama as a kid in school. I always thought those kids were so brave and envied their fearlessness. Maybe Kyser will be in Drama- he is a bit of a drama queen.
Yesterday was a good day. The hubby was off from work and played basketball for 4 hours in the morning so the boys and I enjoyed dancing around the house blasting some of Mom Mom's favorite past time tunes while I prepared the food. Yes I am a food preparer-not a chef, not a chef de cuisine-just a plain food preparer. Slowly I am working my way up the pyramid but I am still at the bottom. Well, maybe second from the bottom. I never had to cook for myself or anyone before I had kids and (ahem) got a husband! It's fun though. Messy at times but definitely eventful. I'm a Jew married to a Latino so you better believe I had to learn how to cook. One way or another. The last bag of beans I made from scratch weren't burnt too bad. Yikes.
I said I would post pics of this vintage fabric I scored on over the weekend and here are some pics. Ugh, I am obsessed. I'm going to stretch the fabric over wooden frames and put them in the boys bedroom...

Today folks- we constructed airplanes
Today the boys and I hit up a local fabric store so Mom Mom could pick up this chic, vintage upholstery material she's been eyeing for some time now. Lucky me the fabric was still on sale ; )
Now, I will be the first to admit that my boys are not perfect but damn I am pretty friggin lucky. My oldest son Kyser who is 2 1/2 is so obedient. I know typically people use that adjective when referring to their pooch but it truly best describes him. We take him out in public all the time without a stroller and the kid always stays by us. He'll occasionally wander off and explore but never strays more than 5 feet away from us. I personally think that's just great. Especially considering the hubby and I never invested in a double stroller. Yikes. Oh and don't get me started on the 'baby leash'. I guess obedient would really be the perfect adjective if we used one of those. Grr.
So, anyway, let me get to the point. We rarely buy our boys gifts. Don't get it twisted, they didn't wake up Christmas morning with coal under the tree and empty stockings but more specific, we don't get them gifts to keep them quiet or just for the hell of it. However, today I did splurge on a $3 gift for Kyser because I just could not say no to those beautiful, brown eyes. (That is something I battle with all the time : ) ). So here are some pics of Kyser painting his airplanes today. It was the best $3 I've ever spent....

The beginning of the End?
Well, I have finally decided to blast my personal life and the life of my kids and husband on the internet. I created Eat, Poop and Laugh because these are the three verbs that most accurately describe my everyday life . My kids eat and then they poop... and poop...and poop. I, however, do not eat anymore. I have effortlessly mastered the 'scarf down' method. Now a days, it's just gobble and swallow for this mommy. After eating and pooping which between both of my boys, happens about 6 times a day, then it's time for laughing. Nothing pleases me more in this world than making my boys laugh. Lucky for them my husband and I enjoy it more than the big, blue sky.
I wanted to start this blog well because to be frank, I need to find 'ME' again. Having children has turned my world upside down. By the way, I mean that in the most positive way. I absolutely adore my kids and yes, even my husband. However, in this whole madness of becoming a mother of two and oh yes a wife - well, I forgot who I used to be.
Is this the beginning of the end? Stay tuned...
